Different/Versatile Things to Be Done with the Items in

use the Quilted Crystal Pair peglites in the Quartet.

nestled inside.
-
Mosaic Tealight Holder with water and float a flower.
-

-
ICT with a few marbles (from Wal Mart or Hobby Lobby)
and a tealight on top of the marbles.
-
ICT with water and float a tealight.
-
ICT in center of Quartet with tapers.
-
QCP (Quilted Crystal Pair) can be Votive holders, dinner taper holder, and pillar holder.
-
Quartet flipped upside down with Mosaic resting on
top, swag underneath.*
-
Quartet with tapers, swag bent in arch through center
of Quartet.
-
The Barrington with the Magnolia Swag wrapped around
it with the Vanilla pillar on top.
-
Or you could put the Falmouth with Mosaic Bowl to the
side and put the ICT in the Quartet. Put pine, mulberry and
vanilla votives inside it with the green squares in the quartet. Hope
that helps.
-
Put the Mosaic on top of the Barrington. I also used
the quartet with the green square tapers and the magnolia swag set
around the base of the quartet. I put the ICT in a straight line on
the third level of my display across the back with the Spiced Plum
votives happily burning away. I put the ivory pillar on one of the
quilted crystal bases. The other quilted crystal, I put together and
burned a votive in. The snuffer I laid across the front of my display,
and I always make a big deal about snuffing out the candles instead of
blowing.
* #10 suggests flipping the Quartet
over and placing the Mosaic on top. While this is a beautiful
grouping, it is cautioned that you take extra care when putting this
together. The brass from the Quartet can flex and bend out of
shape if you put anything too heavy on it.
Basic Suggestions for Additions to your Kit
A lamp: any of the spring-loaded or tealight lamps such as the Gaslight,
Astoria, or Paragon. These are all great booking incentives. Another fabulous
booking incentive would be the 4-booking Tuscany Lamp! By far the best
4-booking gift that I've seen!
A 3-Wick: perhaps the Pineapple 3-booking
gift, especially since the Pineapple comes with a holder so you won't have
to invest in an additional holder! Not only that, but buying the
booking gift is cheaper than buying a regular 3-wick ($12.50 versus
$18). A good way to cover
the booking gifts a hostess receives when the bookings from her show hold, and also to
cover the care and proper burning techniques of a 3-wick
candle.
A great suggestion has been made to
wrap 3 pineapple votives in netting, then 3 individual pineapple votives in
individual netting. Each guest at a show gets to
take one home when she books a show of her own, and if all three are booked, the hostess
gets to keep the center set to "tide her over" until all three bookings hold and
she receives her Pineapple 3-Wick! |
The 2-booking Votive Sampler: This way you have another way
to try for multiple bookings since hostesses can only get it free! I like to carry it
INSTEAD of the 18-sampler box that comes in the starter kit. It's one less thing to carry,
and has more in it.
The Windsor Sampler Tin: This is a must-have addition because it is so
versatile. It's a wonderful gift idea at a very reasonable price, and includes a beautiful
cut glass votive holder that can be used in your display with my next suggestion.
Any brass candlestick from the current catalog, as well as a very
inexpensive one that you either already own or purchase from a department store or chain.
You can use them with the peglight part of the Quilted Crystal Pair, and you will be able
to pass the two candlesticks around to show the differences.
Hearthside Pillar Stand. This piece is
so versatile! You can display it with 5 pillars, 5 balls, a
combination of balls and pillars. You can also put the Fruit Splash
holders on it, any 2 roundish holders with 3 balls, etc. You can put
the swag in front of it or leave it plain. I used it during the
holidays to even display with snuffers (since our holiday snuffers don't
have the long handles)!
Mirrored Coaster set. This set of 2
large mirrors can really set off any display! I never leave home
without at least one mirror, and have sold the mirrors more now than when I
didn't carry them! People don't normally book for them, but it can
enhance any grouping that they would book for.
The Waterlily: Never sold one before I carried it - I now never leave it
at home. I don't think I've had a single show where I have not sold at least one, usually
in addition to another add-on as described here.
1. I usually start with the Waterlily
sitting on the table, with only a tealight in it.
2. Next I place the votive holder from the Windsor Tin inside it, which creates an
entirely different effect - the cut glass designs reflect through the smoky shades of the
Waterlily.
3. Last, I place one of the cups from the Quilted Crystal Pair on the brass
candlestick, then place the Waterlily upside-down over it to create a GORGEOUS
Tiffany-like lamp.
4. You can also put the Waterlily on top of the candlestick, then
stick the peglite thru the hole in the Waterlily into the
candlestick. Looks like a tulip!

These are just suggestions, you can add anything you like
to your kit, changing it to fit a holiday theme, or borrowing items from your leader that
your hostess may have requested to see.
One other thing I do take to my shows now is the Grapeleaf Seville. I did
not own it until I could get it at little cost by using the $100 sponsor credit from one
of my sponsors. I love it, and everyone at the shows loves it. It's a HUGE booking
incentive. Why buy it when you could get it at no cost?? Even though it's nice in the
catalog, when they see it in person, it makes all the difference. Even carrying the
Seville, I still make only one trip to the car by packing everything in one bag that
rolls, carrying the bell to the Seville under one arm, and the stand in that hand.
