I am a CB in Massachusetts and I really enjoy reading all your posts. I have done quite a number of craft fairs and I have learned a few things.

1. You don't want to do a craft fair that's mostly a flea market. Too many $1.00 and $2.00 items to compete against.

2. Learn by heart what's in the products and what's not in them. People like to hear that there's no mineral oil, no harsh alcohol, etc.

3. Set a nice table. Steal the bunnies from your kids.( Their always the really cute ones) I went to the Mill Outlet and bought country bunny material from my table. I couldn't believe there were 8 choices to pick from.

4. Keep a cash box. Put it behind you off the table. Leave the bill that customers give you on top until you count the change back and you both agree it's OK. Twice I had people say "Oh I gave you a $20 (they actually gave me a $10.)

5. You will need a tent for an outdoor show so that the sun doesn't "melt" the lotion bars. Try not to get one with all 4 sides enclosed. People won't want to come in.

6. At the show...watch who your neighbor is going to be....what are they selling...will it detract from your CB products, is the vendor loud/obnoxious, etc. If they are.. ask for another location. It will be a long day if you don't.
