Part 1:
The end of the year causes many of us to reflect back over the
past 12 months of our lives. A tribute is often made to people of
great accomplishments at this time from doing the job they are paid to
do as well as volunteers. In [company] we see this every month in
the reflections with everything from " NEW SRVP" to "
Qualified New Consultants. The national conference each year is
filled with recognition each day. For that reason I want to make it
clear that I feel [company] does a great job at it. I would though, like
to pay tribute to the one person that I feel has done the most to help
[company] in the past year.
I feel that everyone that hits the road going to a strange new
home night after night has kept [company] alive, and want to say Thanks!
My own unit leader Natalie Williams of THE DANCING FLAMES has been quite
impressive as well. Natalie has many people in her unit living thousands
of miles away from Florida to Ohio and goes out of her way to make
certain that we feel a part of the unit! To Natalie and all of you
long distance leaders, my hats off to you for your hard yet often
overlooked work in [company]!
The leaders that work so hard to put on the regional meetings
as well as the people that attend them should be mentioned as well.
It is the outstanding people that train us that keeps the drive in
[company] going. The sense of family often is what keep us going.
I have never been to a KEEPERS OF THE LIGHT meeting as I have always
lived too far away, however; Lorraine Ricca greater and treated me as a
long lost friend. Many of the leaders in Keepers Of The Light have
been supportive of me as well, I will not name then so I don't forget
one by mistake.
Beth Vesco Smith, SRVP of STAR GAZERS Is a leader should
be kept in mind. Beth answered an add I posted on the AOL board looking
for help in Ohio when I move. Boy oh boy did I get it! I like to
fall over the first time she called me at home. When living in
Florida far away from my own region, we idolized a few of the SRVPs that
we were always reading about and Beth was one of them! Although Beth
will never make money from me or my down line people she has and still
is giving me the royal treatment! Beth Vesco Smith is and should
be a "person of the year" to many, however; many of our SRVPs
ARE to all of the people that get to know them!
This year I have chosen a UL that has improved the quality of
most of your shows. They have given training to most of you leaders and
by there efforts helped THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of [company] people all
over the world! And the 1998 [company] Person Of The Year is
named on my next post! LOL Hank
Part 2:
Dear friends,
In the last contest we had I sent out a 4th gift to our friend Belinda
for her hard work to help us all. If you have never gone to her
web page, you must!
I wrote this tribute for her and hope you will take the time
to read it. Thanks, Hank
What honor would more fitting than [company] Person Of The
Year for a unit leader that has helped more than 27,000 people
personally? Not to mention all of the personal touches that she
gives to her many friends. On candlecyberunit at onelist we have named
Belinda Johnson as PL Person Of The Year!
On May 23 1998 at 1:24pm, Belinda posted a welcome message in
her guest book on Best Of The Boards, a web page dear to all of us. From
that first post, you can spend weeks reading of all the help that
Belinda has been to [company] people from all over the world.
Reading it is almost a history book of our growth in the business.
You can find post from the scared new consultant of one day to the most
respected SRVP.
I remember the day of my first post in the guest book on May
26 1998 at 8:32pm. I was in desperate need of more help than I was
able to get from my leaders at the time. I was not able to get the
great post from AOL that everyone talked about. I was the member
of a list that had good tips mixed in with lots of friendly chat.
Best Of The Boards was going to list all of the best tips from all over
the net in one place. WOW What a great idea!
The web page is a friendly place that anyone can go to get
help in all of the aspects of our business from helpful links to
inspirations! BOB as I call it, is a personal web site built by
Belinda with contributions from the USA and Canada. All
anyone needs is access to the internet and THANKS to Belinda, day or
night we have training at our fingertips!
Today around 27,000 visitors have been to BOB for help.
If these people pass along the useful aids to others, who knows just how
many THOUSANDS of peoples lives Belinda's long hours of hard work have
reached?
For all you do for us Belinda, You are worthy of a title such
as [company] PERSON OF THE YEAR 1998!
Let's all take a little time this year and do what we can to
help out others. I hope you will also remember to thank Belinda
for her gift to us this past year! I would like to end with a quote from
BOB "If you feel you must let out some energy by posting on the
boards or lists, post an encouraging word to all your PL friends by
advising them to get to their monthly meetings, because they will
definately want to see what's in store!" Hank
webmaster's note:
I thought seriously about leaving this particular post out of the
Best of Hank series, as it feels very odd to read such a glowing tribute with my name in
the middle. But as I re-read the initial teaser from Hank...I was reminded of all his kind
tributes to everyone else he has touched, and decided to go ahead & put it up. I am
very honored to have touched so many people's lives in this very special way through the
website that ALL OF YOU are a part of! Thank You, Hank, and every direct sales business
person out there who has made Best of the Boards the success it is today! Belinda
