O'CANADA, our sister to the north, how proud of you we are!
Your kindness is greater than the number of stars in your night sky.
We embrace your beauty and warmth as you ware the [company] name with
such graciousness. Your humble heart has caused you to spread your love
over the small children with a breath of hope. Your kind deeds have not
gone unnoticed, just unspoken. May your candle light shine as bright as
your goodness all the days of your life!
Late 1950's a 16 month old child lay in a baby bath on the kitchen
table. The busy mom left the room for just a minute. A minute that
changed her life forever. In a flash the baby grabbed the plug to
a perking pot of coffee and tipped it over. The coffee ran down the
babies neck burning most if his body. He would spend most of his next
year in the hospital wrapped up like a mummy. The hospital
expenses would overwhelm the parents for a lifetime, if it had not been
for the kindness of a stranger.
To this day, no one knows just who it was. The parents went to
make a payment on the bill only to find out that a stranger had paid it
off, in full. You can only imagine the relief that the young parents
felt. The payment could not take away the scars that still run from his
neck to his feet today, however; it removed a huge burden from the
family. What a gift! It's wonderful knowing that goodness lives in
the heart of many people to this day!
Thanks to our [company] family in Canada, many stories like
this one will live on in years to come. Our Beloved Canada family
has been raising money for The Children's Miracle Network with all the
energy we have for the ACS! Our wonderful friends to the north
have a heart as vast as there land. The Children's Miracle Network
raises funds for over 170 affiliated children's hospitals, including the
one here in Columbus. This wonderful nonprofit organization helps
more than 14 million children and there families each year. They
help children with everything from CANCER and AIDS to TRAUMA and
accidents. In fact, they help more children each year than any
other
organization.
[company] Canada is a part of this wonderful cause. I found
out about this cause in a act of kindness earlier this year when a gift
arrived at my door. Inside was a beautiful gold colored 3wick pin.
The letter explained that they were selling the pins to raise money for
The Children's Miracle Network and this kind hearted lady purchased one
for me. It is a gift that I treasure. Not only did I get
such a wonderful gift, but the lady gave to a worthy charity in the
process. If you have seen me at any [company] event, you have seen
the pin! I never take it off. How rich in life I am to
have such a thoughtful friend!
This weekend the Children's Miracle Network will be holding
it's telethon in the US and Canada. In Honor of all the wonderful,
kind and thoughtful [company] consultants in Canada, I ask all of you to
give a gift to this cause this weekend. You can even
purchase a hot air balloon at many stores for just $1 ! I bought
one this morning and wrote " A TRIBUTE TO [company] CANADA"
instead of my name on it! To all of you, our beloved [company]
family in CANADA, I salute you this weekend for all your hard work!
God bless you, Hank
