My first
draft of this page I realized was somewhat confusing...chalk it up to
midnight editing again LOL...after looking at it this morning I thought
I needed to simplify a bunch. So - here's the best possible explanation
of PayPal.com's service - their own "about" document.
Where does ACS come in?
Quite simply - it's a referral program - when you sign up you get an
immediate $10 bonus in YOUR account, and the account that you referred
under (in this case Best of the Boards) gets a $10 bonus referral also.
There are no additional levels of residuals - you don't have to put
anything on your screen while you surf, and you could choose to have
your $10 sent to your home in a check and never use the service again,
or you could "Beam" your personal $10 referral back to Best of the
Boards and double your ACS contribution - with no money out of your
pocket, or you could use it however you wish.
I checked them out
extensively and actually plan to use this payment service for exactly
that - a no fees payment service - person to person. In other words - if
you wanted copies of the fund raiser form, or theme book, or any other
copies from BoB that you normally send SASE's to me for, you could
instead just "Beam" the appropriate amount from your PayPal
account to me - I could mail out your item the next day! You could even
use your credit card without ever revealing it to me!
Likewise - long distance
customers or hostesses could "Beam" you payment electronically
so you could get those shows closed out quicker! (For this you'd need to
set up ACH transfer directly to your bank from PayPal - which IS
available - still no fees - and it's all done over a secure site after
mailing address verification. Read more about it on the signup pages. I
have initiated this for my own account and will keep you posted how
quickly it all takes place.)
Make your ACS donation double - still with
NO MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET - by "Beaming" the $10 sign-on
bonus back to belinda@bestofboards.com

website - wow $20 total out of THEIR pockets - toward our company's
Million Dollar Goal for the American Cancer Society!
I will list all donors on a new page as the
referrals start accumulating so you can see on ongoing total, as well as
alerting you to the day the first check goes in to the company. I want
it to be a sizable donation so I will probably let this carry on at
least through March. That will allow for time to have the donation
listed in Reflections before conference - and make sure we COUNT in the
Million Dollar Goal!
