I wanted to give K.L. a gift for Christmas this year. After
trashing her home with a frog when she joined [company], I felt it was
the least I could do. I was hoping to get the "Frog
Prince" when it came out but was short on cash. I sat down
with the Holiday Catalog and went through the pages on my way home from
Washington D.C. looking for the BEST GIFT [company] had to give. I just
loved the Golden Odyssey as well as the two angels, Mandolin and
Lyrical. I wanted the new Mosaic Bowl and Savoy for myself so bad
that I thought about trying to get them for her as well. Then I
saw my all time favorite, O Holy Night and remembered how much joy it
has given me in the past year and thought about it.
When I got home reality moved in fast. I had put off having
treatments for prostate cancer until after conference. I had
charged my way to Washington and became too sick to do my [company]
parties. I had to leave college as well as the job I had on
campus. To top it all off, I had to move out of my home of 10
years. The treatments left me sick often and my business came to a
sudden end. My home sold the end of September allowing me 2 weeks
to pack up and move to Ohio where I had 1 friend and a place to live. I
thought my [company] mailings were lost till I remembered that I had
been inactive to long. I didn't get the mailing offering Stash Cash and
the NEW 1999 Catalogs. As my bills stacked up, I looked for bookings. I
knew that a [company] gift for K.L. would not happen this year. It now
was Dec. 22 in the evening. I opened up all of my [company] boxes
in the basement looking for a new or used tealight cup to put in my
" O Holy Night" finding 2 1/2 used cups. I lit my "
O Holy Night" and went on-line. I sent a post out to a few
friends saying that I would love to see a 1999 catalog for Christmas and
went to bed.
The next day I got an e-mail letter telling me one is on it's
way. Another letter offers to sell me 25 and a new friend I never before
knew, offers to give me a few of his at no cost. Later in the day
I got a card from my dear UL N. Williams with a $50 GC in it. I'll
be able to get some tealights with the GC and have NEW CATALOGS thanks
to my [company] friends. Then it hit me! Tears of joy filled my
eyes as I saw for the first time that I had all ready given K.L. The
Best Gift [company] Has when I brought her into the business! It's
the people like you that are the best gift!!!
Thanks to all of you for your
prayers, kindness, and support! May we all have our best year ever
as we give the BEST [company] GIFT to others!
