Organization Tips
This set of pages has been re-formatted and new contributions added. From
door prize slips to planners to timesaving tips, spend a little time
deciding which system will work best for you, then implement it, and move
on to your business! It's all too easy to spend more time than necessary
pushing paper and organizing yourself, but a good organized system can be
a big benefit to your long-term business.
But here's a hint...if the local office supply store
provides valet parking for you, it's a sure sign you're spending too much
time organizing, and not enough time on your business!
Are you as tired of SPAM as I am? SPAM is
unwanted, unsolicited junk mail that clogs up your email system and annoys
the heck out of you to have to delete. Although you may wonder what this
has to do with Best of the Boards, it has an impact on anyone who is an
online presence and sends & receives email. I frequently remove
advertising and SPAM from the BoB message board, as well as
receiving/deleting 20-30 spam-mails from my personal email every time I
log on. I have begun taking an active role in putting a stop to it, and
here are some links for you to do the same if you choose to.

Credit where credit is due
I try extremely hard to give author or contributor credit
to everything that is posted on Best of the Boards (BoB). I would
appreciate the same in return! More than once I have visited sites created
by other consultants and been surprised and annoyed to see verbatim
copying of subjects and articles that are here on BoB with no reference to
where they came from. Honestly, it hurts inside more than it annoys me.
Sometimes it's an oversight, and I do appreciate those of you who have
followed through after I contacted you and added a tag line to the
particular quote.
Just out of common courtesy, please, if you borrow or
share something from the site, just do the right thing and acknowledge the
source in the same manner that I do for all of you! Something simple like
"for more great ideas, visit Best of the Boards", with the
appropriate hyperlink to connect your visitor back to BoB. Your fellow
consultants across America and Canada and I, will thank you and you will
be a more reputable source in the long run.

Well
- a major oversight on my part goofed up Faith Letterman's Custom
Embroidery webpage...those
of you looking for great T-shirts, hats, totes, etc, might take a look at
her re-vamped webpage! It has always been listed on the Suppliers page as
a button, but the description got deleted. Also - if you looked at the
page this past week and noticed the Hawaiian Shirt picture in place of the
I Love Candles picture...OOPS! Take another look and see the REAL "I
LOVE CANDLES" shirt design! Sorry Faith!

I've also added a bunch of new example pics to Renee's
(FlameNGlos) Candlelighter
& Button page. These are WAY overdue as she sent them to
me in AUGUST. Take a new look at Renee's webpage
for some many other great buttons to promote your business.
Did any of you catch the
most recent Directly From
The Heart sticker update flyer that was direct mailed to Valerie's
Candle Customers? Renee's Buttons & Candlelighters Business is
featured right there with Valerie's new stickers! AWESOME!

Speaking
of Directly From The
Heart, some of the new stickers that were mailed out as samples
with the update flyer are a great Teal colored 3-wick, and a neat
Holiday sticker. **
Call Directly From the Heart or visit their webpage
to order a current catalog and samples today!
**These are copyrighted images -- please do
not save and reproduce them from the webpage. You'll be much happier with
the quality of legally purchased stickers from Directly From the Heart
anyway!
Be sure to visit these and all our other great business
links and tell them how you found them!
