Give the graphics time to load - there
are several.
Unfortunately - the lighting affected most of the
pictures I took at kickoff so I am only able to salvage a couple of them.
I will however give you some of my favorite ones that were displayed.
A
little hard to see in this picture because of the Lily of the Valley
tapers in the background - but one of my favorite groupings of the day was
the Savoy with a 4"Falmouth in the middle and a vanilla pillar on
top. The 6"Champagne Roses ring rested on the Savoy, and the
3"Champagne Roses ring on the Falmouth, creating an absolutely
gorgeous "Wedding Tree". What a beautiful centerpiece for a
wedding or anniversary party!
Also difficult to see but something you must try -
especially since the Barrington is now in the new starter kit - Put Ariana
on the Barrington. And if you haven't heard about using Ariana as a
"Tooth Fairy" piece - it's a wonderful idea. The tooth fits into
Ariana's outstretched hand, you light a tealight in the cup so the tooth
fairy can find the tooth, and hopefully Ms. Tooth Fairy likes the tealight
so much she takes it with her and leaves coins behind in the cup!
I
was not impressed with the Radiant Star ceramic holder until I saw the
Aurora Pillar holder set inside. Wow - when you light a tealight or votive
inside the colors and light glow and reflect all the gold metallic specks
in the deep blue glazed ceramic.
Very unique and breathtaking!
Another
piece that really didn't float my boat (even with sand included LOL!) was
the Blue Brilliance...until you remove the Blue Soliloquy from its Silver
base and insert (carefully ease the silver "legs" around the
base) the Blue Brilliance. Add a 3" floral ring within the Soliloquy
base under the Blue Brilliance (perhaps the Secret Garden ring - it has
some bright blue flowers in it) and you have a totally different look.
Experiment with this one a little.
Another suggestion was to place the new Brass Bouquet
inside the Blue Brilliance - the floral cutwork glows through the blue
glass.
Building on that thought - try nestling a Quilted
Crystal pair peglight into the sand - again - the glass cutwork will
reflect beautifully. Same with one of the Rockports - my personal favorite
piece to put inside the Waterlily.
No picture - but oh my goodness this was very popular -
4" Falmouth with the Magnolia Pillar Holder (p.42) and the 2 x 6
Royal Blue pillar. Wow. A showstopper.

You
know the Gemini is a perfect wedding piece - remove one frosted cup and
"the two shall become one" when you interlock the rings - but
then what to do with the extra frosted cup? Put it into the Brass Optic
Odyssey Stand and put a flower ring around it. Use the 3" Daisy Ring
and you have a centerpiece for your Brownie Troop as they cross over into
Junior Girl Scouts.
Also
- don't forget about ordering the replacement cup for the Evening Star
from last year's catalog (for yourself anyway in case it becomes
unavailable for good) - if you are in Cub Scouting replace one of the
frosted votive cups of the Gemini with the blue replacement votive cup
from the Evening Star (part number P0473G) - instant Blue & Gold
Banquet centerpiece. Someone needs to ask home office to make this
particular replacement cup available by itself year round. It's a stunning
grouping. Of course we have many blue items to combine with brass for Blue
& Gold settings now.
