Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jamie & Kevin whose daughter Brianna
has grown close to all of our hearts for the past 5 months as she
battled persistent and increasing health problems in and out of the
hospital. Because I cannot put it into words as well as her friend Mikan has, I am
copying Mikan's post from the message board here in its entirety.
What can I do to help?

It is with great sorrow and sadness that I report
Brianna's passing.
She opened her eyes to take a final look at Jamie
about 8:40 PM Alaska time and closed her eyes forever. Jamie and Kevin were surrounded by family, still at
the hospital.
I am posting tonight because I need somebody to
share my sorrow, to be able to put into words how I feel. Brianna will
always have a special place in all our hearts. It was a beautiful day
today. Very sunny, not a cloud in sight.
Today, as you leave for work, give an extra kiss and
hug to your children, spouses, even your pets. If it's one thing that
Brianna showed us, is that strangers with a common bond (PL in our
case) can join together to help those in need of a shoulder to cry on,
a few bucks, a few kind words and lots of love and support.
You are welcome to send any personal notes to me and
I will be sure to forward them:
